The business has to use appropriate techniques for online shopping which helps in the building relationships with the customers and brings profits for the business. The business should develop a web site in such a way that it meets the customer's expectations rather than supporting organization's culture and brand name. The companies must know the needs and tastes of the people, and delivering the promises made. McDonaldization theory gives four major online shopping principles - efficiency, calculability, predictability and control. To provide better customer satisfaction the online shop must follow these four principles.

Generally customers choose online shopping for faster and more efficient shopping experience, the online shoppers expects that the company should care about them. The online customers expect low prices and better shipping services from the online companies. They also look for the credibility of the online shops. The companies should display the product on the home page so as to make it easy for the customers to search and to know about the product they are looking for. The customers expect to see social sharing tools on a commercial site. Privacy issues are the major concerns for the online customers and they want to make their transactions safe and to provide security, the companies need to provide user login ID's. The transactions should be done through encryption technologies that will protect private data from being accessed by others when there is an Online transaction.
