Signs That Indicate You Someone Has Problem With Their Gambling

Without any conscious realization the addiction to gambling may develop. Gamblers who face the problem gambling may not believe that they have the problem. Gambling can cause many problems in gambler's personal life and family.

Few signs that indicate someone you know has a problem with their gambling, such as:
  • Continuous speaking about gambling.
  • Not controlling spending money and time on gambling.
  • Though an individual is criticized by others for his gambling, he cannot stop gambling.
  • Having guilty feeling about gambling or what happens because of gambling.
  • Not paying old bills, hiding bills, past due notices, winnings and losses from others.
  • Not having family and other responsibilities because of gambling.
  • Ignoring taking care of personal needs like food, sleep, etc., because of gambling.
  • Overlooking family or household responsibilities and work or school because of gambling.
  • Having difficult to stop or control gambling and having feeling of irritation when trying to stop gambling.
  • Selling goods, committing some criminal acts, borrowing money to get money to gamble.
  • Thinking that winning back loses by gambling more to get out from financial problems.
  • Thinking that one day there will win big in gambling.
  • Spending more money and time on gambling.
  • Increasing in debts, unpaid bills, other financial problems because of gambling.
  • Gambling with more money than he or she can not afford.
  • Gambling with more money to get same excitement for longer time.
  • Escaping personal problems, and getting relieved from anxiety, depression, anger or other negative emotions by gambling.
  • Not having control on emotions and getting irritated more easily, having less patience while dealing with daily activities.
These are signs which indicate you that someone has problem with their gambling. If you find out that someone has problem gambling then you can give suggestions to them to control gambling.
