Get to Know the Language Learner's List Before You Travel

As a traveler, before you visit to any place, you have to learn some words or phrases of the foreign language to break the language barrier between you and the native people of that place. These words will help you interact with them easily and also it helps you to impress old and new found friends. The way you are showing interest to speak or learning their language in their place makes them feel happy because they will think that you respect their culture.

However, if you speak some words in their native language, it will be helpful to make introductions /formalities between you and them. If you go to any place some words are common to say in introduction or when leaving from the vacation. You learn those common words in their language to make your trip easy and enjoyable, otherwise they can not know what you are asking and you too can not know what they are saying.

If you learn the following expressions in the other language, the country you are going to, it would be helpful to you while traveling:
  • Hello and good bye,
  • Yes, no and maybe.
  • Please and thank you.
  • I don’t understand.
  • Please speak more slowly.
  • Could you please repeat that?
  • What's your name?
  • My name is . . . .
  • I am learning . . . . Can you help me?
  • Where is . . . the bathroom, restaurant, museum, hotel, shopping mall, beach?

  • Learn to count from 1 – 100
