How to Learn Creative Meditation Skills

Now -a-days many people are using meditation for removing stress, mental stability. But, stress is an unavoidable feature in modern life. So, meditation helps in managing stress.

Creative meditation is used for development and strengthening specific qualities of the mind like, tenderness, unconditional love, compassion, courage. It helps in cultivating qualities of character like behaving, speaking, thinking etc.,


The practice of this meditation helps you find peace, developing your skills and awareness to look deeper into reality. Some of the meditations like reflective and creative meditations transform our unhealthy habits and directs our energy towards wisdom. It helps in channeling intuition and intention. It brings a great change in our character and nature. It is important to recognize the difference in spontaneous mental images and creative visualization. In creative visualization, our purpose is to use our mental power to generate predetermined images. It is very important to know that each image affects our mental and physical health. There are many ways of practicing creative meditation. But, one of the technique is:

  • One can visualize oneself doing an activity or having desired quality. One can observe or imagine himself/herself performing that activity or having that desired quality.
  • One can imagine other sensations which are associated with the activity like texture, smell, and sound. One has to imagine it as real as happening.
  • It is not important whether you are actually seeing or feeling it or not. One has to establish that it is actually happening in real. One can build confidence with practice.
In case the image or state does not appear clearly, one can imagine its completeness as if it is a reality.
