Checklist of Physical Features of Apartments before Renting Them

You may see many apartments - but what do you select from those you see and how? However, you need to first prepare and prioritize your basic needs and amenities you want in your new apartment. And also make sure that you can afford them with your budget. Otherwise you will have to make changes in your needs and priorities. Consider each apartment’s physical features and make sure you keep track of each apartment’s:

* Kitchen Size
* Separate Dining Room
* Number of Bedrooms
* Number of Bathrooms
* Closet Space
* Flooring Type
* Gas and Electric Appliances
* Fireplace
* Dishwater and Garbage Disposal
* Balcony or deck
* Terms of Lease
* Security System
* Storage
* Natural Light
* Parking Facilities

Research each apartment’s neighborhood and community. This will be another important factor in considering the apartment you are going to live in. You will probably also want to note the apartment’s proximity to:

* Public Transportation
* Schools
* Shopping Centers
* Your Work Place
* Parks and Recreation Facilities

While these tips may not guarantee that you find the ideal apartment you are looking for, but they certainly will make the task a whole lot easier and you will be much more satisfied in the long run with your choice!
